Coordintating Events

Description

The Coordinating Events training program is a compulsory training module of the Certificate III in Sport and Recreation qualification (SRO30106).

The knowledge gained through this Training Program underpins effective performance in all meeting and event organisation and management roles.

The Training Program covers the skills and knowledge required to develop and update general knowledge of the meetings and events industry including industry structure, legal issues and current technology, preparation of registrations and coordination of the on-site registration of guests/delegates at a meeting or event.

Course Information

• Certification: On successfully completing both the training course and the on-the-job component of the program, candidates will receive a Statement of Attainment that includes the following units of competence from the National Community Recreation Industry Training Package.
  • SRX EVT 001B -Coordinate guest/delegate registrations at a venue
  • THT FME 03A -Develop and update events industry knowledge

On-the-job assessment

After attending the training program, candidates are required to complete on-the-job assessments. The workbooks are then forwarded to Royal Life Saving for assessment.
