A traineeship is a full-time or part-time employment based training program. During the course of a traineeship, a trainee gains work experience and has the opportunity to learn new skills in a hands-on environment. On successful completion, the trainee earns a nationally recognised qualification. A traineeship is a valuable first step to a rewarding career.
The Youth Skills Initiative Traineeship is available for existing workers up to 24 years of age. You do not need to be a new employee to be eligible for this traineeship. The Youth Skills Initiative allows existing employees who normally would not qualify for traineeships because they are already employed, to access training and achieve a qualification recognised across Australia.
