Stage 6 — Junior
Junior means you can swim one lap of a 50m pool and can complete a competitive swimming dive while extending swimming and survival abilities. Having gained this skill give competitive swimming a try. Enrol in your next stage – Intermediate which develops the skill of egg-beater kick used in water polo.

| 36 | DEMONSTRATE A DIVE ENTRY. Shoulder deep minimum required. |
Head first entry; Submersion of whole body; Confidence. |
| 37 | WATER SAFETY SEQUENCE | Dive entry into deep water. Rotation of the tucked body keeping the face above water. Swim slowly for 3 minutes using two recognised survival strokes. Grasp aid thrown for support and kick to safety. |
