Stage 2 — Water Discovery
Water Discovery is about being pulled to safety and the development of the freestyle stroke. Enrol in your next stage – Preliminary to learn how to perform a survival back float.

| 10 | FREESTYLE-SWIM 5M. Face submerged |
Flutter kick; Arm recovery clear of the water; Face in water, exhaling. |
| 11 | SCULL/TREAD WATER. Basic hand and leg action. |
Outward and inward scull; Alternating leg action; Ability to gain some support. |
| 12 | WATER SAFETY SEQUENCE | Glide forward and recover to a standing position. Float for 30 seconds, with a flotation aid. Be pulled to safety |
