Royal Life Saving WA is seeking a highly motivated individual who would like to join our “Swimming & Water Safety Education” team. A part-time position exists for a Sport Development Officer to implement programs and initiatives that support the development of pool lifesaving.
Over the past five years an average of 30 drowning deaths are recorded each year in Western Australia with the majority of these occurring during the summer months.
With summer fast approaching The Royal Life Saving Society WA is conducting a Swim School Open Day at selected Endorsed Swim Schools throughout WA.
Royal Life Saving has a network of 100 Endorsed Swim Schools that meet Royal Life Saving safety standards and best practice for the delivery of swimming and water safety lessons. Endorsed Swim Schools deliver the Swim & Survive swimming & water safety program that aims to ensure that children are not only taught ‘how’ to swim but also ‘when and where’ to do so safely. Last year over 100,000 WA children received participated in the Swim & Survive program.
