Date: Thursday 16th February 2012
Time: 10.00am to – 3.00pm

All competitors from each team participate and are separated into pairs competing simultaneously resulting in a combined time for one team. One lifeguard completes the swim stage which consists of a short distance swim combined with towing of submerged manikins while the second lifeguard assists with administering CPR on the last manikin removed from the water
All competitors from each team participate in a relay form and swim though a number of submerged obstacles and tow manikins over the distance, the manikin must be removed from the pool before the next swimmer starts. Teams are assessed on their overall time to complete the course.
3 competitors from each team respond to scenarios given to them and deal with the situation at hand. Teams are assessed based on their response to incidents involving aquatic rescue, resuscitation and public relations.
