Everyone can play a role in preventing alcohol related harm in, on or around water environments. Here are some ways that you can get involved:

School Presentations

Royal Life Saving has a group of Don’t Drink and Drown presenters who are available to come to your school and provide students with information regarding:

  • General alcohol information
  • Safe drinking practices — how to reduce the risk of alcohol related harm
  • Alcohol and water safety
  • What to do in an emergency situation

Leavers Presentations

Each year around 10,000 year 12 students attend Leavers celebrations at locations throughout Western Australia to celebrate the end of their schooling life.

Don’t Drink and Drown has been involved in the state-wide approach to promoting safety during Leavers since 2005 including the provision presentations to provide students with important information in the lead up to Leavers including:

  • Planning for Leavers — what to do
  • What to expect during Leavers celebrations
  • Leavers and the Law
  • Tips on how to stay safe while celebrating
  • What’s on — what services are available during Leavers
