Lifeguard Challenge
2007 Results
The 2007 Pool Lifeguard Challenge was held on Friday 23rd November at Challenge Stadium by Royal Life Saving. The challenge was accepted by 8 centres from around the wider metropolitan area to test their skills as a team against teams from other centres. The challenge consisted of 3 events including a gruelling initiative in which the team of lifeguards had to deal with a scenario of multiple casualties. Teams were judged by trainers from Royal Life Saving and their score then ranked them in an overall position.

The team from Fremantle Leisure Centre captained by Jodie Thomson, narrowly edged out the Beatty Park team in second place and previous winners Bayswater Waves who secured third place.
With positive feedback received from this year’s Pool Lifeguard Challenge, the 2008 challenge looks set to be even bigger and better. Support received from WALGA and Challenge Stadium has ensured the successful running of this year’s event and their continued support will see this event continue to grow to large proportions on the annual aquatics industry calendar.
