The Brookfield Multiplex Classic Paddle is a community event organised by The Royal Life Saving Society.
The paddle aims to help create greater awareness of the importance of aquatic safety at the start of summer.
The 2008 Brookfield Multiplex Classic Paddle will be held on Sunday 19th October.
The focus is definitely on fun. The variety of craft involved, the picturesque course, as well as great prizes offered, all gives paddlers every reason to become involved. The event is:
· Open to all recognised categories of paddle craft
· 12 kilometre course for open, masters & junior competitors starting under the Narrows Bridge
OR
· 4 kilometre Champion Lakes Classic Paddle for recreational and novice paddlers and
"Don't Drink & Drown" Prize Draw - win $250.00
"Don't Drink & Drown" is a water safety message aimed at reducing the incidence of alcohol related drowning incidents. At event registration you will be provided with a "Don't Drink & Drown" drink holder with your race ID number. A prize draw will be conducted at the presentation and you and your drink holder must be in attendance to win.
